The present set is a tribute to the great French violinist Ginette Neveu, who died in a tragic air crash on 29.X.1949, at the age of 30 (the boxer Marcel Cerdan and Ginette Neveu's brother who was also her accompanist, were also aboard of the airplane). This set includes two interviews of Ginette Neveu of the French Radio and three previously unissued recordings: the Beethoven concerto recorded in Holland, the Brahms concerto with Roger Desormière (Baden-Baden) and Brahms' Third sonata with her brother Jean Neveu, which they recorded five weeks before their tragic accident.
